Congratulations to Tim Bill and Joe Nelson, both of North Quincy, for winning their respective divisions at the Massachusetts History Bee! Tim defended his 2011 Varsity title in style by sweeping through the preliminary rounds as the #1 seed, then quickly advancing to the final against Zaroug Jaleel (Lexington). Tim beat Zaroug, 5-1.
In the JV division, both Joe and Jake Traynor (Quincy) emerged as the clear finalists after the preliminary rounds, but Joe recovered from a disappointing second preliminary round score to beat Jake in the final by a score of 5 to 2.
