The National History Bee and Bowl held the Eastern Kentucky History Bee at Johnson Central High School in Paintsville, KY on Saturday, December 3, 2011. Congratulations to our winners: Andrew Salyer of Johnson Central in the Varsity and Skyler Cantrell of Menifee County High School in the JV! Thanks to Brenda Porter and Johnson Central for hosting their second NHBB tournament in 2011, and thanks to Nick Brumfield, last year’s second place student nationally in the National History Bee who came down from West Virginia to direct it.
We hope to see those who qualified at our National Championships, and many students at our Kentucky State Championships on March 24 at Oldham County High School as well!
